Jeff was one of my best friends. He was one of the funniest guys I have ever known. We started hanging out in 10th grade, cruising around in his '55 Oldsmobile, at Bills Burger and A&W, and were fairly constant companions until he joined the Air Force and I left for the Navy. We both left Fort Pierce, but always stayed in touch and got together as often as we could.
I was blown away by his sudden death in March, 2009.
I will miss him the rest of my life.

I too am saddened at Jeffs passing.  I remember so well the time that 5 of us went to Key West to go Skin diving.  We had a blast (except for the initial "boat luanch episode") and that stolen car thing that he made us do.  He was a good friend and he was, truly a riot.  I will also miss him.

Jeff and I go way back. He lived directly behind our home on 38th street. We built and raced slot cars on his screened in patio (H&K Auto-Harward & Keaton Auto) and played football almost every evening behind the old Angle Road Drive-In. We could tell you some stories about racing cars. One weekend we organized  a huge drag race at the old church on Emerson Road behind Lakewood Park. Jeff was racing his Road Runner against Steve Travis GTO. There must have been 70+ individuals watching. Just as we waved them off,  a sheriffs car came around the corner with his lights flashing. Steve pulled off the road but not Jeff. He dumped the clutch and took off. Most of the observers took to the woods. One officer jumped out and started yelling out tag numbers while the other wrote them down. Cars going in all directions. We all received warnings and were let go. We sat around a good while waiting for everyone to come out of the woods.  I remember David Gonzales had on a Yellow London Fog when he ran into the barbwire fence, at which point he was trampled by a thundering herd of people. He looked like a train wreck when he came out of the woods. We all regrouped and met at Bills Burger. About 2 hours later, Jeff pulled in. He had drove to Vero Beach and came back to Ft Pierce on A1A. What a night. My first US Air Force duty station was Shaw AFB in Sumter, South Carolina. Jeff went through the same Air Force school I attended in Denver, Colorado. He also went to Shaw AFB for his first duty assignment. Jeff and his wife, Star, stayed with Bunny and I until she found a job and they found their own place. Star was the best thing that ever happened to Jeff. I wish I had seen him before he passed away. We were very close friends.

Jeff was my neibor on Brosmith Rd 8miles out on OrangeAve, We rode horses all the time, ever weekend,we wood go into the woods and camp out, we played stunt men and tried to fall off our houses like stuntmen when we played cowboys and indians. I remember he got into trouble cutting Al Browns Dads fence and was so shocked when his parents found us and told him. He moved into town and we didn't stay close, my horse was named Boots, Will always miss him as friend,he always had nack getting us ( my brother and me) todo what he wanted. Once he bet me dollar to drink a mouthfull peppers from a jar that were pickled, a dollar was a lot of money back then, and after I did it, he said he was kidding! Great buddy growing and always wil be.Never thought he wood be a preacher, His wife must have been something out of this world. Love to his family, he will be missed.
