I am so, so sorry to hear this.  We had talked several times about finding a surf camp which would cater to older "surfers."  I'm sure he's found his perfect wave now and is basking in eternal sunshine after an awesome barrel.  Rest In Peace, buddy.

What a shock!  I've known Marty since kindergarden.  We grew up right down the road from each other so we hung out quite a bit, even after high school.  He was a lot of fun...always cracking jokes and finding something to laugh at.  He was also a charter member of the S.S.S,O.  I'm going to miss him!

I was never good friends with Marty but I knew him in school as we grew up together.  He was alway a funny, and fun guy to be around.  Its really sad to see someone like him pass away.  We have our memories, and that's a good thing!  We all need to appreciate each day and each other.  After this past year of pandemic, that is more apparent than ever.  I pray for peace for Marty's family and friends.
