Don Mark Post, age 44, of Fort Smith died Monday, July 3, 2006, in Fort Smith. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fort Smith, was owner of Post Electric, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a master craftsman.

Rosary will be 7 p.m. today at Fentress Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

 

He is survived by his fiancee, Cathy Strange of Barling; one daughter, Krystal Lynne Butler and her husband Ricky Dale Butler II of Burlison, Tenn.; his mother and father, Virginia and Frank Melford Post Sr. of Fort Smith; two sisters, Lynne Marie Ward and her husband Barry of Van Buren, and Vada Gay Reynolds and her husband Michael of Little Rock; three brothers, Kenneth Allen Post and his wife Tamara of Springdale, Frank Melford Post Jr. and his wife Rhonda of Fort Smith, and Hubert Wayne Post and his wife Carolyn of Arkoma; maternal grandmother, Mary Beschoner of Fort Smith; 13 nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Post, Colby Post, Frankie Post, A.J. Reynolds, Mikie Reynolds, T.J. Sindle, Rusty Don Sindle and Hubert Post Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Babitzke, Vernon Knight, Rick Post, Randy Post, Randy Hall, Mark Russell Beschoner and Robert Mason.

Family will visit with friends following the rosary service at Fentress Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial and Honor Program, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Donny was always protecting someone, he did not stand for someone being picked on. He was a good friend and he is missed.

Donny was a heck of a guy. One of the best I ever knew. I went to the funeral and would guess it was about 2006-07. I hope to see him in heaven some day.

Donny did some work for my mom several years ago - when he saw me he ran up and gave me the biggest bear hug ever. We caught up on life, kids, etc... almost as if we'd seen each other the week before. I'm so glad we had that chance -
