Bob Breimeier

Robert Paul Breimeier was called to his Heavenly home on Saturday, June 25, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife, Sherryl, son Russell (Leslie), granddaughters Casey Burnett and Rebecca Breimeier, a niece, nephew and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Laurie (Breimeier) Burnett, his parents Paul and Clara (Kruse) Breimeier and sister Carol (Breimeier) Ditzenberger.

Bob was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana in 1943 to Paul and Clara (Kruse) Breimeier. He was baptized on July 4, 1943. He attended Emmaus Lutheran Elementary School and graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in 1961. Bob then attended Purdue University where he earned a degree in Mathematics followed by an MBA from Krannert School of Business in 1966.

In 1970, Bob married the love of his life, Sherryl (Knorr) whom he met at a church function. Throughout their marriage they enjoyed traveling with friends and taking family vacations with Russ and Laurie. They also loved playing games together, attending concerts, movies, and musicals. Beloved by family and friends, Bob was known for his ability to do complex math in his head, his wit, his love of music and Cardinals baseball. He was also an avid golfer and had the joy of experiencing two “Holes in One!”

Bob had a distinguished career working for Container Corporation of America, which eventually was bought by Jefferson Smurfitt Corporation/Smurfitt Stone Container Corporation. He started as a Controller Trainee in 1967 then held several positions throughout his tenure including Vice President-General Manager of Boxboard Mill Division and Vice President of Corporate Purchasing. He was known for improving productivity and profitability in his various leadership roles. His job required him to relocate his family several times, eventually leading he and Sherryl to the St. Louis area in 1995 where he eventually retired in 2001.

Bob loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and devoted time to the Church accordingly throughout his life. He was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, Missouri for more than 25 years where he served in various leadership roles, including two terms as President of the congregation.

Though Bob’s family miss him dearly, they are grateful for his love, support, generosity and Godly leadership. There is abundant peace and joy in knowing that he is with the Lord and that they will be reunited with him in Heaven through faith in Jesus Christ.
