Judith A. (Marks) Winters, age 81, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.  She was born June 17, 1943 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of the late Milton and Hildegarde Marks.  Judy graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in 1961 and later worked as a Medical Transcriptionist for 20 years.  She volunteered as a fundraiser coordinator at the Allen County SPCA for 12 years.  Judy had a love for all animals and enjoyed having numerous cats and dogs over the years.  She also loved watching the birds stop and eat from her bird feeders.  Judy enjoyed traveling, but camping trips out West were her favorite.  She was a very talented artist, especially drawing and painting.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Andy) Beckstein; stepdaughters, Vickie (Denver) Druesdow and Debbie (Roger) Rice; son-in-law, Tyler Gilmore; nieces, Julie (Danny) Allen and Susan (William) Hathaway; two grandchildren and many step grandchildren, and step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Hildegarde (Mertz) Marks; her husband of 49 years, Owen D. Winters, who passed away in 2018; daughter, Angela Winters Gilmore; stepson, Lloyd O. Winters; sister, Sharon Dillon; and her nephew, William Dillon Jr.

The family would like to thank all the staff members at Heart to Heart Hospice and MS ICU at Lutheran Hospital.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
