
Theodore "Ted" C. Despos, 74, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Ted graduated from South Side High School and attended Indiana University. Later he worked as a Stock Broker before taking over the family business, Despos Tailoring. He owned and operated the store for 35 years until selling the business in 2002. He was a member of St. Nicholas Eastern Orthodox Church, Summit Investment Club, Business Forum, Fort Wayne Country Club, National Tailor's Association, Ducks Unlimited, Arrowhead Alpine Club in Edwards, CO and served on various boards in Fort Wayne and Vail, CO. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved being called "Dedo" by his beloved grandchildren. He will also be remembered as an avid snow skier. Surviving are his wife, June R. Despos of Fort Wayne; son, Matthew (Ashleigh) Despos of Joplin, MO; daughters, Courtney (Luke Winona) Despos of Denver, CO and Cambi (Chad) Ruston of Fort Wayne; grandchildren: Stellan, Hensley, Braxton, Brecklyn, and Rylan; sisters, Jane Thomas of Fort Wayne and Joyce (Larry) Schavey of Fremont, IN; and brother, Chris T. (Claire) Despos of Chicago, IL. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Helen Despos. Visitation will be at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Saturday, January 30, 2016, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service beginning at 4:00 pm.
