Dr. Alan Shelton, age 60, of Bowling Green, formerly of Munfordville, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, in Bowling Green. He was born in Frankfort on Sept. 26, 1957, to the late Rodney Allen Shelton and Arbadella Semones Shelton. Dr. Shelton was a dentist who practiced in Munfordville for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife Karen Jones Shelton; one son, Brian Shelton (Lindsey), Lexington; one daughter, Laura Williams (Daryl), Louisville; one brother, Brad Shelton, Nicholasville; three grandchildren, Brody and Bailey Shelton and Bella Williams.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at J.C. Kirby and Son, Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, and 9 a.m. until time for services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bowling Green Gardens.
