Jeffrey Roland Travis

Frankfort – Jeffrey Roland Travis, age 59, of Frankfort, passed away of Thursday, February 9, 2017 in Lexington. A Celebration of Life will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 10:00 in the morning. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, February 13, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. 

Jeff was born in Sumter, South Carolina, on August 25, 1957 to Jack and Doris Anderson Travis. He served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years and later worked for Sprint. 

In addition to his parents, Jeff will be missed by his sisters, Stacy Travis Moore (Larry) and Stephanie Travis Cassidy (Paul); his nieces, Lauren Moore Milligan (Brad) and Eva Cassidy, his nephew, Aidan Cassidy, his grandmother Florence Anderson, his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and of course, his beloved dog, Cody.

The family would like to thank you everyone at the Commonwealth Cancer Center and Frankfort Regional Medical Center who provided care and support during his journey these last few months.

The family would also like to share Jeff’s desire to encourage everyone to have regular medical checkups and colon cancer screenings.

Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
