Sheila Hoes

Ms. Sheila Laverne Hoes was born on September 8, 1962 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Edith and Leroy Hoes and the youngest of twelve children. Sheila, 57, departed this life on Monday, June 29, 2020 in her home after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.

Sheila accepted the Lord and Christ at an early age. Sheila graduated from Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Maryland where she played field hockey and graduated early with honors. She was a certified nursing assistant and worked in the customer services field. She was passionate about helping and caring for people. She had a clever way of being open, honest, and loving to all who were graced with her presence. Shelia was a diehard Cowboys fan and enjoyed being the life of the party.

She leaves to cherish her love and memories: one daughter, Tylisa Thomas (Antoine Thomas) two grandchildren, Quincy Thomas and Landen Thomas, one son Dallas Pryor (Tiffani Truss) and extended grandchild; 7 siblings, Carolyn Hoes Bowens (Paul), Judy Hoes, Evelyn Hoes, Eunice Hoes, Robert Hoes, Linda Hoes, and Patsy Hoes Weedon, and childhood best friends, Lori Weedon and Mary Goines. She was blessed with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Hoes Jr. and Ronald Hoes, and two sisters, Geraldine Hoes and Estelle Hoes Rollins.
