Sidney Wayne Mauldin, Senior, passed away May 25, 2011. Sidney was born in Blanco County, Texas on Friday Feburary 6, 1943 to the late Stafferd Mauldin and Rettie Jewel Middleton Mauldin. Sidnet graduated from Fredricksburg High School in 1961. Upon graduation, he moved to Dallas, Texas where he graduated from the IBM School of Business. While attending the IBM Business School, Sidney met and eventually married Carlee Russell on September 14, 1963. Following his life-long love of baseball, he attended and graduated from the George Barr Umpire School in West Palm Beach, Florida, and subsequently umpired for many years for BBI, local high school teams and eventually Southwest Conference Colleges (SWC). Sidney also worked in the snack food distribution business. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carlee, and their two children, Michelle Chester and Sidney "Wayne" Mauldin, Junior.
