Norm Kemp

Norman L. Kemp III, 31, of Buffalo Township, died Friday, July 30, 2010, at Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a brief illness. He was born June 25, 1979, in Harrison Township, a son of Norman L. "Pete" Kemp Jr. and Lisa D. (Jones) Kemp. He lived in Buffalo Township for the past seven months and in Natrona Heights prior to that. He was a landscape laborer for the landscaping industry in the local area. He was of the Protestant faith and was a 1997 graduate of Freeport High School. He enjoyed playing cards, was an avid bowler who bowled three perfect 300 games and enjoyed all sports. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of two years, Kelly (Eckenrod) Kemp, of Brackenridge; daughters, Madison Kemp, of New Kensington, and Makayla Kemp, of New Kensington; stepson, Josiah Eckenrod, of Brackenridge; brother, Kristopher (Kelli) Kemp, of Buffalo Township; sister, Dusty (Richard) Grantz, of Tarentum; paternal grandparents, Norman L. Kemp Sr. and Constance (Doutt) Seft; former companion, Jamie Leauthauser, of New Kensington; 14 aunts and uncles; two nieces; two nephews; and 23 cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Morgan Kemp; maternal grandparents, Harrison and Elizabeth (Powell) Jones; uncle, Robert Jones; aunt, Hattie Negley; and cousin, Greg Jones.
