Wayne was an exceptional person! He was a true friend to many of us that knew him well!! He was so much fun to be around. I really looked forward to seeing him everytime our class got together. So much fun reminiscing about our growing- up years in Lake Jackson. He and Leland were always thick as thieves their entire lives as I recall. He will be greatly missed the next time we get together as a class for sure!! RIP dear friend😢❤️👍✌️

I remember Wayne from our elementary years.  Such a sweet boy, always so kind.  The world is poorer because he is no longer in it.

It was a sad day when Wayne moved to Houston during our pre-teen era.  He and Leland  and Ben Hardin lived just down street from me (Magnolia street).  We all spent a lot of time going back and forth on Saturdays (after TV cartoon time) which was our Cowboy and Indian time. Always had a grin especially when he was the cowboy shooting us as the Indians.  I remember trying tackle him on one of those occasions but just being a skinny runt...he pinned me down and sat on me until I gave up...we just laughed and laughed.  However, I did out run him most of the time but paid the price when he cought me.

Wayne was alway good friend and very kind and considerate of others.  Wish i had kept closer touch with him...I sure will miss him as well as the others....

I did not know W ayne in his Lake Jackson years. However, I did run into at a corporate hunting weekend in the hill country around 1983. He was very friendly and he soon realized that I was Brazosport grad. He was very excited about it and told me about his Lake Jackson experiences. He said he had many old friends in LJ

This was a deer hunting trip for people in the oil and gas industry. But I soon discovered that Wayne had no interest in killing Bambi. He really only wanted to shoot his rifle. He was a gun collector. He had a fully auto rifle of military configuration. These guns are not normally owned by civilians.

He did get to shoot his gun after the hunting was over. It was very entertaing for everyone, Quite loud.

I never saw Wayne again after the weekend, but I never forgot about this interesting guy from Lake Jackson.

RIP
