He graduated from Brazosport High School and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Southwest Texas State University. Blake began his career with National Steel Service Center in Houston, Texas. He established his own steel processing company in 1986, Port Metal Processing Inc. In 2003, he expanded with a second corporation, Painted Metal Products Inc.
Blake is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Allen McKnight.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nancy McKnight; daughter, Katie McKnight; son, Blake McKnight Jr. and daughter, Carrie McKnight; parents, Rennie Lee “R.L.” and Frances McKnight; brother, Darryl McKnight and numerous other relatives.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at Kingwood Funeral Home with the Reverend Caz Minter officiating.
