Sherry Lynn Steele, 62 of Sweetwater, Texas died in Sweetwater, Texas on Monday, November 30, 2015 with family at her side.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Abilene Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Steele was born December 30, 1952, in Freeport, Texas to Vernon and Etta Sorters. Her family will remember her as a loving, caring, strong and hard working person who always made time for her children, and of course her soap operas.

Survivors include two daughters, Lynsi Runge (Trey) of Sweetwater, and Molly Stanton (Zach) of Palestine, Texas; one son, Brent Steele of Sweetwater; two sisters, Beth Everett of Milan, Texas, and Ann Flores (Jessie) of Freeport, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Steele was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Schack, and a brother-in-law, Butch Everett.
