I seek to pay tribute to Octavius A. Rowe. Today, I first learned of his passing in 2008. I met Octavius exactly 46 years ago when he appeared with the St. Augustine Choir at the Chapel on the Green in New Haven, CT. We became fast friends. He visited New Haven the next year on Thanksgiving Day with my wife, son and the Jones family. We were in touch about eight years ago.
