Lee Miley passed away July 14th, 2016 after a courageous 5 month battle with cancer. He was born October 11, 1949 and was 66 years of age at the time of his death. He was cremated and buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in Beatrice, Nebraska. Lee moved to Beatrice, Nebraska in 1972 and began work as an auto-bodyrepairman for Lentz Motors. He then worked at Beatrice Glass selling materials to body shops. In 1975 he and Roger Ideus formed L&R Body shop. Lee worked for City Motor Supply as a salesman before establishing Lee's Body Shop and Classic Auto Sales. He also owned and operated the Brass Rail before moving to the Ozarks for a short time where he owned and operated Neighbor's Landing. Upon returning to Beatrice Lee worked for the Spady-Runcie dealership until their closing. He then began employment at Carriage Motors as a car salesman. He was a member of the Beatrice Sertoma Club, Eagles Aerie #531 of Beatrice and the First Presbyterian Church of Beatrice. Lee enjoyed boating, bowling, camping, restoring classic cars, playing pool and shuffleboard.
Survivors include one daughter, Amanda Fletcher and husband Darrick of Beatrice; son, Matthew Miley of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Haleigh,Hannah, and Kinsley Fletcher; mother, Ethel Miley of Hoxie, Kansas; four brothers, Larry Miley and wife Carol of Oak Grove, MO, Lonnie Miley of Scottsdale, AZ, Leslie Miley and wife Bonnie of Lincoln, and Lynn Miley of Beatrice; one sister Leila Rein and husband LeRoy of Lincoln; formerwife, Sara Miley of Beatrice; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Miley.
