Open house will be held Friday, beginning at 1:00 P.M. This would be a good opportunity for you to see our building and visit with our faculty and student body. You will see many changes from the days you spent at FHS. You are invited to visit any time during the day. We will have students available to show you around the building.
A pep rally is scheduled for 3:08 P.M. Friday in the football stadium.
The Junior Class will sponsor a Barbecue Dinner with all the trimmings in the cafeteria before the game for all who would like to attend from 5:00 to 6:45. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children ten and under in advance or at the door. We will have an area set aside for the class of ‘92.
The pre game activities will begin at 6:30 followed by the big football game at 7:00. The crowning of the Homecoming Queen and Football Sweetheart will highlight the half-time show. The 1992 graduating class will also be honored at that time, and we will take a group picture. The Class of ’92 consisted of 271 seniors compared to 480 presently enrolled in the 2012 graduating class.
There will be a reception immediately following the game in the new addition of the cafeteria for the Class of 1992 and all other former students. The sponsor of the reception will be the National Honor Society. Please plan to stay and visit and pick up the information we are compiling on the class of 1992. I can tell from the information you have submitted that you have some very successful classmates.
Make your plans early to attend this year’s homecoming. If you would like to be seated with other members of the 1992 class, reserve seat tickets must be purchased in advance, through my office. They will not be sold at the gate. Please send your check or money order to cover the cost of tickets, $7.00 each, to Myrlene Kennedy, 302 Laurel, Friendswood, Texas 77546. Remember, all orders must be received by September 30. Tickets will be mailed October 3.
It seems like only yesterday that you were the seniors at FHS and that you would be the twenty-first senior class to graduate on the present campus, but believe it or not, it has been 20 years. This will be the 41st homecoming at Henry Winston Stadium, formerly called Mustang Stadium. You will see major changes when you drive up to FHS – in fact you may need a map to find your way around. I am looking forward to seeing each and every one of you and your families. Make your plans now to attend the homecoming activities. We guarantee you’ll be glad you did.
If you cannot attend, please send me a picture of you and your family so that it can be shared with your classmates from ‘92. Oh yes, if you have not mailed a summary of the highlights of your life for the last 20 years, please do so as soon as possible. I would like to have it to share with your classmates. I will also mail you a copy of the information, to those that are unable to attend, if you send me your information.
The class of ’72 and ’81 will also be having class reunions the weekend of October 7. Sounds like great fun.
