Andrew Johnston "Andy" Blalock
February 27, 1957 - March 27, 2016

 

Andrew Johnston "Andy" Blalock, 59, passed away March 27, 2016. He was the son of the late Bobby Neal and Lydia Jean Byrd Blalock. He enjoyed working with the boys at Citgo Lube in Fuquay-Varina.

Funeral was held at Friendship Baptist Church in Angier, with burial at Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

He is survived by his fiancé and best friend, Gwen Blalock; daughter, Erin Sullivan (Jeremy) of Four Oaks; sons, Jamie Blalock (Angie) of Knightdale, Matthew Blalock (Tracy) of Raleigh, Clinton Blalock of Lillington; 4 stepchildren; sisters, Rhonda Blalock Thornton (Eddie) of Benson, B. J. Blalock Smale (Jerry) of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Jonathan Blalock, Joseph Blalock, Bailey Blalock, Grayson Blalock, William Sullivan, Austin Sullivan; 5 step-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Kathy Hughes Blalock, daughter, Ashton Blalock, and brother, Craig Blalock. 

Andy was our classmate at FVHS freshman and sophomore years. His sister BJ also went to FVHS.
