Eugene Carter Murphy

Eugene Murphy passed away on Jan 10, 1986. He and much of his family lived in Holly Springs. Eugene and his siblings were all born in the community of Eastover in Cumberland County. Several generations of his father's family came from the Eastover / Flea Hill / Wade area, not far from Fayetteville.

Surviving Eugene were his wife, Sandra Judd Murphy of Holly Springs, his father, Israel Murphy of Wade, his mother, Mrs. Mildred S Murphy of Holly Springs, and his siblings: sister Cathy, and brothers Robert, Alvin, Calvin, and Dan Murphy, all of Holly Springs, and his brother Jasper, who was living in Germany.    

Eugene died barely ten years after we graduated from FVHS. He was only 30 years old.
