Guys,
I'm sure we all feel this loss in our own way, but I'm sure we all agree Dick provided all of us a model of what an outstanding Riverside Cadet should strive to be. Yes, he was very smart, very disciplined, always prepared, but beneath all that excellence he really enjoyed just being one of us...a River Rat! What a Classmate! I'm glad to have known him. Rest in peace brother!

I was only one of about 25 guys that was there for 4 years , Needless to say I knew Dick pretty well , he was smart , and very disciplined, I being one of those guys that ended up hating the upper ranked cadets did not have much to do with Dick only our senior Year. I show up eartfor football and there was Dick ready to play offensive guard . He probably weighed 165 pounds maybe and I came back to school at 195 . With his sure grit would hit You like he was 195 lbs . I learned a lot of respect from that . Other than football I did not hang with him at all . So even though I was there with him for 4 years Inonlybsaw him on a football field or up front with LT. He was quality in every way and the world was a better place with him in it . Happy Trails Dick.
