Debbie Dee Langenbahn (Fleisher)

GALESBURG - Debbie Fleisher went to be with her Lord at 10:17 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Debra Dee was born Sept. 25, 1956, in Galesburg, Ill., to Frederick H.J. and Mary Gustafson Langenbahn. She graduated Galesburg High School in 1974 and completed her licensed practical nursing degree at Carl Sandburg College. She worked for Galesburg Cottage Hospital in the emergency room, 2AB and maternity wards. On June 4, 1983, she married William Fleisher at the home of her mother and father-in-law.
She is survived by her husband, Bill, and four sisters, Judy Milan of Galesburg, Shari (and Dave) Priest of Kenosha, Wis., Pam Moore of Galesburg and Mary Beth Langenbahn of Auburn, Ill. She also is survived by two nieces, Shelley Moore of Galesburg and Kelly (and Dale) Sell of Wataga and three nephews, Shawn Milan of Galesburg, Chad Priest of San Diego and Eric (and Kippen) Priest of Charlotte, N.C.; as well as great nieces and nephews.
Debbie was a member of Maquon United Methodist Church and enjoyed each day she spent there. She also enjoyed deer scouting for her husband, mushroom hunting with her husband and walking in the woods with her dogs.
In lieu of flowers, Debbie asked that memorials be made to Maquon United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Maquon United Methodist Church in Maquon, Ill., with a fellowship lunch to follow. Private family inurnment will be later that day.
Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home and Crematory in Knoxville, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
