Mr. Michael M. West, Galesburg Chapel

47, of 1621 Willard St. Galesburg, IL, died at 12:25 AM Sunday, February 29, 2004 at his home.
He was born on May 24, 1956 in Galesburg, IL to Merl and Betty Swanson West. He married Toni M. Clewell in Galesburg on January 4, 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Toni West of Galesburg, IL, a son, Jonathon West of Galesburg, IL, a step-daughter, Jennifer R. McElroy of Galesburg, IL, a step-son, Robert L. McElroy III of Galesburg, IL, a brother, Russell West of Galesburg, IL and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Molly West.
He was a mechanic for the City of Galesburg for 12 years. He was a 1974 graduate of Galesburg High School and attended Carl Sandburg College. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and AFSME Local #1173.
Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 4, 2004 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel with Rev. Daniel Siems officiating. Burial will be in Maquon (IL) Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at the Chapel. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
