Dalton Mark Smith passed away in 1995.  The Reverend D. Mark Smith 39, 378 Monroe St., died Saturday November 11^th, 1995 at home.  He was born December 12^th, 1955 in Galesburg, the son of Dalton and Francis Pauline Brown.  One sister Vicki Allison of Galesburg survives. He worked at Gunther Products. Co. until the plant was moved from Galesburg.  He formerly was Pastor of New Bethel Church Non-Denominational Church, Keokuk Iowa.  He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Galesburg. He was former President of the Galesburg Branch of The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.  Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery.
