HARTSOCK, John M of Maumee, Ohio died unexpectedly on August 11, 2011. He was born to James and Barbara (Filer) Hartsock on June 16, 1943 in Waynesville. John is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Yong Sun, four children, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild, four siblings and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, 185 N. Main St., Waynesville, where visitation will be held 6-8 PM Monday, August 15. Services will be 11 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. There will be a memorial service on Friday, August 19 at 6pm at the Providence Lutheran Church, 8131 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio. I think I speak for a lot of John's classmates when I say that we were shocked and saddened beyond words to hear of his sudden passing. We had just gotten together at the class of '61 reunion, only weeks earlier. John was so happy - laughing, smiling, glad to see everyone. It was a really remarkable occasion, nade even more remarkable in retrospect by losing him only weeks later.
