Miss December Chosen Girl of the Year at GGHS

Each year a girl from among the seniors at GGHS is chosen to reign as Girl of the year.

This year the honor has been bestowed on Janice Roush, a two term officer of the Girls'

League & the Girl of the month in December of 1964.

A girl of the year candidate is any senior girl who has reigned as the Girl of the month in any of the years she 

has attended GGHS.

She is chosen on the basis of personal qualities & school service. The first step is to complete an application concerning activities, honors & plans for the future.

Next Janice was interviewed & questioned as to her opinion on several controversial subjects. Also included in the judging was person obersvations by each girl on the judging committee as to the candidates attitude towards other students.
