Kenneth Lavern Elliott, age 81, passed away on June 13, 2025 surrounded by his loved ones. Born on February 24, 1944, in Anaconda, Montana, Ken was the son of Charles and Dorothy Elliott.

Ken grew up in Cache Valley and graduated from Bear River High School in 1962, where he was a proud member of the swim team. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably in Italy and achieving the rank of sergeant. Upon returning home, he pursued higher education and earned a bachelor's degree in data processing from Weber State University.

Throughout his life, Ken was devoted to family and service. He married Barbara Gregory, and together they welcomed a son, Kevin. He later married Vickie Fish, and they raised two children, Shannon and Michael. Vickie preceded him in death in 2007.

Ken’s professional career began in the 1970s as a computer programmer in Colorado. He later worked for several departments within the Utah state government, ultimately retiring in 2007 from the Department of Information Technology.

A devoted Denver Broncos fan, Ken held season tickets for many years. He also had a deep appreciation for British comedies and European soccer. An active man, he was an accomplished racquetball player and completed both the St. George and San Francisco marathons. Ken had a passion for travel, a vast knowledge of history, and a love of Radio Shack.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Reynolds Elliott of Daybreak; his children: Kevin (Maureen), Shannon (Kevin), and Michael; and his siblings, Alice and Richard. He is also survived by stepchildren Cindy, Bart, Wes, Cody, Wendy, Bonnie, and Shelley, and was preceded in death by stepson Elliott. Ken was a proud grandfather to Hannah, Hailey, Trey, Mehki, Jake, and Griffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy, and his brother, John.

A celebration of Ken’s life, including military honors, will be held later this summer.
