Laura Jean Carter Sanders 1957 ~ 2008 Laura Jean Carter Sanders, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend left us too soon on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Intermountain Medical Center.She was born June 17, 1957, in San Diego, California. Laura was the second child of Thomas W. Carter, Sr. and Dianne Carter. She married Mark Wayne Sanders, the love of her life, on July 23, 1983. Laura had a passion for cooking; an interest shared by her son, Jason. She was creative and artistic; characteristics inherent in her daughters, Jamie and Jackie. Her grandchildren brought her tremendous joy; adding sparkle to her life. Laura had a zest for life and added a beam of brightness to the lives of all who knew her. She put others before herself and helped those in need. Laura's strength and courage knew no boundaries. She lived her life with vigor and now she can rest. Laura's involvement with P.E.O. (Philanthropic Education Organization) meant a great deal to her as did the friends she gained within the group. Laura is survived by her husband; children, Jamie Adams, Jackie Stoudnor, and Jason Sanders; parents; her siblings, Denise Pelham and Thomas Carter Jr.; grandchildren Mikayla, Ayden, Trinity, Toree and Keller; nieces, Samantha and Carly and nephew, Carter. Laura's family wishes to thank her many friends, Dr. Box, The Transplant Team and caregivers at Intermountain Medical Center and Rev. Marty Shelton-Jenck. A Celebration of Life will be held, Sun., August 17, 2008, 2 p.m. at Community of Grace Presbyterian Church, 2015 E. New Castle Drive (8890 S.), Sandy, UT.
