When seeking assistance in updating this Home Page, it was learned that ours is the oldest single class in Class Creator!  Sadly, there are not as many classmates left to participate.  In renewing our subscription with Class Creator for one year, we will have further opportunities to share out lives with each other.  Please do so.  We enjoy hearing from you...........

April 25, 2024 - 

It is with great sorrow that I must bring you the sad news that on March 8, 2024 we lost our former Senior Class President of our Horace Mann Class of 1949 and our Head Co-Administrator of our Class Website, David Flynn.  You can read his long obituary from the Dunbar Funeral Home (Devine) in Elgin, S.C.  (I could not figure out how to copy and paste it here.  Neither can I change the info. in his Profile since he was also a Co-administrator.)

I had called him to wish him a happy birthday on March 13th and his wife, Paula, returned my call with the sad news.  I knew he had been fighting cancer for over a year, so I wasn't too surprized.

I don't know how to get in touch with Bill McLaughlin, our other Co-administrator. He didn't reply to my calls. The last few times Dave talked to him he said he kept repeating himself and not making much sense.

I will be contacting Class Creators soon to help me decide whether to continue our website, or how to close it permanently.  There has been no action on the website for over a year so I presume that there is no further interest in continuing it.  Thanks to all who have participated in staying-in-touch for all of these years!  It was my pleasure to be of service!!
