GASTONIA - Hubert Brady Clemmer, 72, died Aug. 23, 2011.

Born in Gaston County, he was the son of the late John Franklin Clemmer, Jr. and Mary Louise Fulton Clemmer.

Mr. Clemmer was an insurance representative and the owner and operator of C & C Machinery. He was a lifetime member of Holy
Trinity Lutheran Church where he was an active member of the choir and the church prison ministry as well as a former member of the church council. For many years, Mr. Clemmer was actively involved with Cursillo and Via de Cristo. He was also an avid golfer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Stanley Clemmer.

Mr. Clemmer is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marian Clemmer; sons, Brian J. Clemmer of Gastonia and Jon Eric Clemmer and wife, Tammy L. Parker of Mt. Holly; grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Clemmer and Heather Mariah Clemmer; brothers and sisters-in-law, John F., III and Teresa Klem-mer of Covington, VA, Robert F. and Phyllis Clemmer of Banner Elk, Richard E. and Terry Clemmer of Sanford, Rev. Palmer D. and Cindi Clemmer of Hendersonville, TN and Ann M. Clemmer of Birmingham, AL; sisters and brother-in-law, Elizabeth C. and William B. Seabrook of Gastonia and Lillian C. Bradley of Myrtle Beach, SC; and a large extended family.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the Revs. Braxton East and Palmer D. Clemmer officiating.

The family will receive friends from noon until 1:45 p.m. Friday in the church parlor.
