Gastonia - Kathryn Nelle Wilson Foy, 81, passed away on June 17, 2021. She was born in Gaston County on August 7, 1939 to the late Thomas Albert and Ella Moss Wilson.
She was a member of First ARP Church in Gastonia. Nelle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her grandchildren; whom she adored. She was known by her grandchildren as "Grandmother Dear".
Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Donald Foy; her daughter, Jane Foy Painter and her husband Phil; her wonderful grandchildren, Samuel Foy Painter and girlfriend Eryn Pendergast, Kathryn Painter Neinast and husband William; Joseph Thomas Painter and wife Neely; and sister, Nancy Wilson Colston.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 20th at Pisgah ARP Church Cemetery, 3600 Linwood Road, Gastonia with Pastor Josh Hjemvick officiating. The family will receive friends following the service
