After trying for a week to locate an obituary in the Virginia newspapers, George Winecoff finally received the following E-mail from Bob Abernethy's son. We all regret the passing of Bob Abernethey.

Sorry didn’t get back to you….. much going on…… Dad was interred at Albert G Horton State Veterans cemetery (where Evelyn is buried) … on Thursday…. Navy Military Honors (21 gun salute), Babptist Preacher and Last Masonic Rites…. It was a VERY symbolic and honorable ceremony
