Well, hello to those who remember me. I was in the band, but did not join any organizations or play on any teams in high school. I wish I could do that over.
After graduation, I planned to go to East Carolina College, but I was trying to spread my wings and my dad was still seeing me as rather irresponsible and would not let me borrow his cars much so I was prime fodder for the Navy recruiter who said "boy, we need you". Off I went for two years on an aircraft carrier and two years on a submarine.
I met a teacher from North Hollywood who became my first wife. We had 5 children. I attended college at LA City and U of San Francisco, where I graduated. We moved to Sacramento where I had applied for law school. I graduated from Pacific McGeorge Law School in 1972.
I have been a lawyer in Sacramento since 1972. I was divorced from my first wife in 1980 and I remarried in 1986. We have a 20 year old daughter at UC Berkley who loves her Film Studies goal, and we have a 17 year old boy in high school. After getting our children well on their feet my wife Kathleen became an RN and works in a busy trauma center ER. I continue to work full time and enjoy good health.
I am so pleased to see so many of our class still living near home. The numbers are quite surprising. I calculate that about 85% of our class are in NC, SC, and Tenn. It is a wonderful area. My three sisters and I still own our family home two blocks from our school, on S. Lee St.
I believe the mirrors are lying to me. Am I that old? Thank you all for sharing your lives. If you want, my email is phil@cabe-law.com.
