On February 2, 2018, I lost the love of my life. Roland had been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, (cancer of the blood) on June 2, 2017. We ha an oncologist, Dr. Lind, at the VA in Asheville, NC and Dr. Kang at Duke Medical in Durham. He was on his 3rd medication and this one was suppose to get him into remission, but God had other plans. We were at our beach house in North Myrtle Beach. He was doing good, but all of a sudden, he passed away in my arms of cardiac arrest. Please pray for me.

Roland Conrad Jr.
ELLENBORO – Roland Edgar Conrad Jr., 76, of Ellenboro, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Grand Strand Medical
Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Roland was born Feb. 5, 1941 in Gastonia, and was a son of the late
Roland Edgar Conrad Sr., and Bertie Lee Sosebee Conrad.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Forest City.
The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Fellowship Hall of the church.
