Costner – Melvin David Costner age 73 of Snellville, Georgia, passed away, Monday, March 24, 2014. A memorial service will be held 3:30 PM, Saturday, March 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, with Mr. Carl Newell officiating. Mr. Costner grew up in Gastonia, North Carolina and moved to Snellville 35 years ago. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Snellville. He retired from AT&T as a Systems Manager. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Costner; and brother, Charles Costner, Jr. He is survived by his Wife of 53 years: Jonnie Costner, Snellville, Georgia; Children: Tina & Lance Nicolaysen, Massachusetts; Cheryl Costner Larsen, Loganville, Georgia; David H. & Jessica Costner, Cumming, Georgia; Mother: Mildred Costner, Kings Mountain, North Carolina; Sister: Gail Frady, Gastonia, North Carolina; Grandchildren: Mary, Bill, Kayla, & Rachel Larsen; Ben, Susie & Lizzie Nicolaysen; Holly & Jenna Costner; Brother-in-law: Craig & Julie Summey, Gastonia, North Carolina; 1 Niece and 4 Nephews.
