GASTONIA -- Mr. Lewis, age 69, of Gastonia, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Lewis was born in Gastonia and was the son of the late Earl Clyde Lewis, Sr. and Rachel Holland Lewis.

Mr. Lewis was an advertising salesman for Thornhill Speciality Advertising Company, was a graduate of Ashley High School and Evans Business College. He was a member of Union Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Lewis was a loving husband, father and his grandchildren were the love of his life. His faith in Jesus Christ was very evident in the way he lived life as displayed in his sweet loving spirit.

Mr. Lewis is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue Hart Lewis; one daughter: Debbie Rudisill and husband Rudi of Gastonia; one son: Patrick Lewis and wife Pallavi of Lake Wylie; four grandchildren: Rachel and Ragan Rudisill of Gastonia, Vanessa and Ross Lewis of Lake Wylie; his beloved dog companion: 'Annie'.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Union Presbyterian Church, 5615 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28056.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Union Presbyterian Church with Dr. James Cockerham and Rev. Dickie Spargo officiating.
Interment will follow at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004, or Union Presbyterian Church, 5615 Union Road, Gastonia, NC 28056.
