Obituary

   GASTONIA - Judy Shields Lewis, 73, went to her Heavenly home on July 9, 2014.

She was the daughter of Pauline Deaton Shields and the late William Thomas Shields.

She is preceded in death by her father, husband of 52 years Donald Kee Lewis, and beloved grandson Matthew Chase Lewis. 

Judy lived the simple life; and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a wonderful, loving and 
giving daughter, mother, sister and grandmother. Judy was a devoted and unselfish person, always putting
others else first.

She is survived by her son Todd Lewis and wife Sherry Poarch Lewis; mother, Pauline Deaton Shields,
her grandchildren, Lauren Lewis Lanning and husband Zach, Chad Bartlett and wife Amanda, Cory Bartlett
and wife Catherine; great grandchildren, Halle, Luke, Jacob and Ella Bartlett; brothers Ralph Shields and
wife Sheila; David Shields and wife Brooksie; sister, Becky VanAntwerp; special friend Marie Poarch;
several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be private Sunday at Gaston Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. Scott Shields
officiating. 

The family will be at the home of Todd and Sherry Lewis, 2435 Pebblestone Court, Gastonia.
