Clyde Thomas Quinn

 

GASTONIA - Clyde Thomas Quinn, 68, died April 8, 2013, at his home. 

A native of Gaston County, he was born Dec. 29, 1944, son of the late Robert Marion Quinn and Etta Mae Biggers Quinn.

Clyde was retired from the City of Gastonia and had also worked many years for Ti-Caro, Inc. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, the beach, gospel music and his farm animals. Clyde had attended East Baptist Church and was a devoted brother, uncle and friend.

Clyde is survived by his sisters, Margie Quinn Costner and husband Andrew of Clover, SC; Betty Quinn Allen of Gastonia; brothers, Donald R. Quinn; Lewis Quinn and wife Ann, all of Clover, SC; Kenny Quinn and wife Pam; Howard Quinn and wife Margaret, all of Gastonia; Ronnie B. Quinn and wife Rhonda of Dallas; 17 nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and great-nephews, and five great-great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by close friends Bill Deal and wife Linda; Billy Deal and wife Stacey, all of Gastonia, and their children, Taylor and Heather Deal.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Neil "Bobby" Quinn of Gastonia.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with Pastor Monica Tilley offi-ciating. 

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. 
A private committal service will be held for the family at Evergreen, A Quiet Place.
