DALLAS - Ricky Dale Buchanan, 58, of 623 Lantana Drive, passed away Sept. 12, 2008, at his residence. 

He was born May 10, 1950, in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Ruby Buchanan Reep 

Ricky was a good-hearted person who loved life and his family very much. He also loved to walk a lot. 

A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel in Gastonia. 

Officiating will be the Rev. Jerry Millwood. 
Interment will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City. 

A visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. 

His survivors include his brothers, Steve Allen Upchurch and Joseph Bart Reep; nephews, Joshua and Dylan Reep; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friend, Jerry Ewing.
