October 30, 1950 - May 14, 2013

Sharon Sherrill passed away on May 14, 2013 after a short illness. She is remembered by her beloved husband of 41 years, Richard “Dicky” Sherrill , her loving mother Nell Patton of Dallas, NC, her devoted sisters Tara Gilmore Kim and Patricia Empson Nick of Charlotte, NC , her adoring nieces Erin Hoffman Joshua of Vienna, VA , and Page Empson Of Charlotte, NC, her caring nephew Ross Gilmore Crystal of Charlotte, NC, and her three great-nieces, Rileigh, Bella, And Emma, special sister-cousin Marilyn Brooks Steve of Lincolnton, NC, aunt Sue Hough of Dallas, NC, and her cherished relationship with the Sherrill Family. Sharon is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wake Forest University and worked at CBN with the 700 club for 24 years. She was a creative and wonderful woman who touched the lives of many with her love and kindness. She was accomplished in painting, playing the piano, and sculpting. One of the most important aspects of her life was her faith in Christ which was never failing. A celebration of her life will be held Friday May 17, 2pm, at the New Life Providence Church, on 1244 Thompkins Lane, Virginia beach VA.In lieu of flowers, family requested donations be made to Square One Ministries at 3909 West Colonial Parkway, Virginia Beach, VA 23452, or Wild Life Center of Virginia, at PO Box 1557, Waynesboro, VA 22980.
