GASTONIA - Charles "Skip" Rogers Pearce III, 63, died peacefully at home on Dec. 23, 2013.

A native of Gaston County, he was the son of the late Charles Rogers Pearce Jr. and Mary Heckert Pearce. 

He was a retired US Air Force Veteran, serving his country for 21 years.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia Founders Chapel with Dr. Danny Dwyer officiating.

Survivors include his loving wife, Donna "Kay" Hancock Pearce; son, Scott Davis of Gastonia; daughters and sons in law, Summer and Alan Fulgham, Mandi and Mark Kline all of Gastonia; grandchildren, Payne and An-nabelle Fulgham, Eva and Will Kline; sisters and brothers in law, Georgia and Roger Hayes, Elizabeth and Jim Mabe all of Charlotte.
