The passing of Joe was hard for me to understand because we were all so young and if anybody's future was bright it was the braytons'. This was the first time I realized that we were not invincible and anything could happen to anybody at any time.
I still remember that day when Joe was killed in the auto accident, we were in the school gym and we were all told how Joe had died. Whenever I hear the Song When you think of Laura I still think of Joe and tear up, I had known Joe and his family since first grade so it was really hard on me, he was a great person and very concerned about others all the time. All that Joe and John had planned together it was such a waste and I know it must have been and still is I am sure very hard on John as well as Jimmy and their parents to think of what could have been.
