Warren G. Molko, 67 (should be 64), of Gering, died Saturday, October 9, 2004, at his home.  A memorial service will be held at 10 am, Thursday, October 21, 2004, at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel with Rev. Paul Hebbert officiating.  Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory.  A private family inurnment will be held at Sunset Memorail Park.  A memorial has been established to Prairie Haven Hospice.

Warren was born December 12, 1941, in Scottsbluff, to Jake and Esther (Hagen) Molko.  He attended school at Gering Valley and graduated from Gering High School in 1960.  In early 1961, he entered the U. S. Air Force serving in the Strategic Air Command as an aircraft maintenance and nuclear safety instructor at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.  In 1963, he married Nancy Carpenter.

He was honorably discharged December 1964 from the Air Force and returned to Gering Valley where he started feeding cattle and farming until 1980.  In 1979, he purchased 23 acres south of Gering and began Valley Pines Nursery and Tree Farm until 1988; the business was sold in April 1989.  He moved to Sacramento, CA and worked as landscape foreman and field operations manager in Clarksburg, CA.  He returned to Gering in 1995, as ill health forced him to retire.

He was a former member of the Board of Education of Gering Valley School, National Christimas Tree Growers Association, American Association of Nurserymen, International Crabapple Society and Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

Survivors include his sons, Troy Molko and his wife Sandra of Bayard and Todd Molko of Caldwell, Idaho.  His parents; brother Walter; and his former wife Nancy Carpenter, preceded him in death.
