Norman Peterson

Norman Peterson

Norman Peterson, Gering High School 1960, passed away recently with little to no family contact.  From Norm's sister, we learned he will have no memorials nor obituary.  His ashes will be scattered in Wyoming.

From Helen (Conn) Vogel who found the following from a Rotary site in Fort Collins associated with an award Norm recieved:

"Norm Peterson is self-employed as a consultant in the field of Construction and Development of Real Estate and Physical Facilities Projects.   He is an independent consultant but "on call" by Fluor Construction and FEMA to consult issues surrounding damage caused by Natural Disasters.

Norm has lived in Fort Collins since May 2014.  Before that he lived in Niwol, and was associated with a Development and Building Company located in Boulder.

After Colorado in 1981, he relocated to Monterey, CA to purchase and operate a Construction and Company located on the Monterey Penninsula.  In 2010 through 2013 he worked with projects and issues related to Hurricane Katrina.

Norm and his companion, Juliet Weller lived in Fort Collins.  He has two children.  Brandon, age 41, who resides in Monterey and daughter Laurie age 36 who lives in Wilmington NC.

Outdoor activites such as skiing, hiking, camping, golfing, biking, bird hunting, and fly fishing and spending time in the mountains are major reasons for return to CO.

He has been a Rotary member for more than 30 years."
