Roland Beauford "Corkey" Handley, 58, passed away suddenly December 2, 2000, at his home in Westminster, Colorado. A graveside service was held on December 15th, 2000 at West Lawn Cemetery in Gering.

Corkey was born January 17, 1942 in Scottsbluff, Neb. to Everett Clay and Deanna (Loos) Handley. He attended Lincoln West Ward Grade School and graduated from Gering High School in 1960. He was confirmed and served as an acolyte at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Gering. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1965. He was a retired medical technician with the Federal Government.
