Richard Drumheller VIEW PROFILE

Richard “Dick” Drumheller, 71 of Scottsbluff, died Friday, December 16, 2016 after an extended illness. Dick was born December 7, 1945 to Will and Laora (Henkel) Drumheller in Scottsbluff. He graduated from Gering High School in 1963 and attended Parks Business College in Denver, Colorado.  He married Sharon Beck on February 12, 1966 in Greeley, Colorado. He spent his life as owner-operator of Dick Drumheller Trucking until ill health caused his retirement.  He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed. Dick and Sharon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.  He enjoyed his many friends in the cattle hauling business and their time spent together at his shop.  He also spent time fishing the lakes of Nebraska and Minnesota. Dick is survived by his wife Sharon of Scottsbluff; mother Laora Drumheller of Scottsbluff; sisters Karen (Steve) Sorok of Scottsbluff and Kathy (Rod) Holten of Scottsbluff; nieces and nephews Bob Sorok of Scottsbluff, Cassie (Sean) Nichols, Lauren, Abby and Will of Scottsbluff and Joel (Christine) Heimbuck, Tanner and Finley of Denver, Colorado; and numerous relatives of Sharon’s in Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his father, Will Drumheller and his grandparents Henry (Molly) Drumheller, Jr., and Dave (Pauline) Henkel, Sr., and numerous aunts and uncles.  Interment  at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff.
