Right after graduation I joined the Navy and went thru Nuclear Power School. I was on board a Fast Attack Nulcear Submarine for 6 years. I was stationed in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor. Aloha! I met my wife Wendy while I was still in the Navy. We got married 3 days after I was discharged from the Navy. After our honeymoon to Disney World, I started working for Intel Coporation in Aloha, Oregon as a Faciltities Technician. Our daughter, Whitney, was born after we had been married just short of three years. Six months after she was born, I then started taking college courses at Portland Community College. While working full time at Intel I continued taking college courses and then eventually transferred to Portland State University. My son Carlton was born about the time I transferred to PSU. It took me 7 years while still working full time to graduate from Portland State University with my Mechanical Engineering degree. I was hired as an Engineer at the same Intel plant that I had been working at as a Tech. Wendy and I have been married since August of 1997. We are getting ready to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary this August!
I have a heart for Jesus and volunteering. I have volunteered at Camp Winema Christian Camp, Tigard Christian Church Vacation Bible School, teaching Sunday School for years at Tigard Christian Church, working in the projection booth for church services, helping maintaining the church vans, coaching for my sons, basketball and baseball teams and leading my sons Boy Scout Cubs Den. I guess that you could say volunteering is my hobby! I still love watching my Pittsburgh Steelers and any Pittsburgh Teams! I have become a huge Trailblazer Fan and Lakers Fan! A few West Coast teams have to have me as a loyal fan!
