This is very sad news.  My condolences to his friends and family. I know Jim battled his demons as an adult, but I remember Jim as the happy and friendly guy he in high school. His house parties served as the backdrop for many of my high school hijinx. He just loved to have parties and see everyone enjoying themselves. Jim, my friends and I are still sorry for spilling illegally obtained red wine on your parents' beautiful white carpeting in 1979. ;)  Rest in peace, my friend.

I'm so sad and sorry to read this news. Jim did throw the most epic parties, and I'm the one who spilled the Tickle Pink wine. Apparently, I couldn't handle my Tickle Pink! Understatement. My mother once told me that the finest thing you could hope to be called and remembered for was being kind. I speak from experience when I say Jim Schleis was kind. And it is sometimes hard to find kindness and a lack of conceit in someone as popular as Jim. He taught me lessons about kindness on two separate occasions. While I haven't seen you since the 10-year HS reunion, Jim, you remain an important person in my heart. Sending condolences to your family, your kids, and your many, many friends. I hope you're rocking in heaven with our other comrades who've left this life way too early. Love, Terri
