Justin Demers

Justin Anthony Demers, 18, of Green Bay, was tragically taken from his loved ones to be with the Lord, Tuesday afternoon, August 12, 2008, as the result of an auto accident. Justin was born August 5, 1990, in Green Bay, to John and Tami (Miller) Demers.

Justin was to begin his senior year at Gillett High School. He played on the Gillett Tigers Football Team his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. He would have been second year captain of the football team this year. Justin was also on the basketball and track teams. He excelled academically since kindergarten. He received awards in academics and sports. Justin had enlisted and was looking forward to serving in the United States Marine Corps following high school graduation. Justin loved to hang out with his friends. He enjoyed playing computer games, and fishing. Justin loved traveling with his family, especially to Jamaica and Costa Rica. He looked forward to holiday gatherings with all of his family members. Justin was well loved by his family and the Gillett Community. His parents are very proud of all he accomplished in his short life. Justin had a big heart and was a positive influence to those whose lives he touched. Even in death, he may continue touching others by offering to be an organ and tissue donor.

Justin is survived by his parents, John and Tami of Green Bay; one sister, Jennifer Olman and her son, Aiden, of Green Bay; two brothers: Jeremy Demers and Corey Demers, both of Marinette; maternal grandparents: Linda and Jeff Ray of Green Bay, and Jerry and Jane Miller of Marshfield; paternal grandparents: Claude and Vivian Demers of Menominee, Mich.; maternal great-grandmothers Edna Miller of Coleman, and Delores Miller of Green Bay; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Justin was preceded in death by his maternal great- grandfathers: Alvin Miller and Bernard Miller; paternal great-grandparents: Arthur and Mable Demers; great-grandma and great-grandpa, Gagne. Justin was also preceded in death by his two favorite pets: Tanner and Gizmo.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2008, at the Kuehl Funeral Home, 108 E. Main Street, Gillett, 920-855-2144. A parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue at St. John's Catholic Church, Gillett, on Saturday, August 16, 2008, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Joseph Coopmans, O.Praem. officiating.

Interment in Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Gillett.

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated at a later date.
