Carolyn was such a sweet girl with such a tender heart. I will forever be grateful for what we learned from her and how Central guided us. Long before any of us had heard of "mainstreaming" special needs kids, Carolyn was one of us. I remember walking to school with her and sitting next to her in class, but I don't remember how we drifted apart. After heading to NTE I ran into her less and less, but I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. Carolyn faced so many daily challenges, I hope her passing was peaceful.
