Jimmie Lee came from somewhat humble beginnings. He was not a rich man's son. He had an infectious upbeat good natured personality which affected all who knew him.

I found him eternally optimistic, and cheerful.

I just knew great things lay ahead for him. But there are no guarantees in life.

Cruel fate took his tomorrows from him, in an automobile accident.

I smile when I recall the times I hung out with Jimmie. He was a groovy cat, and never forgotten.

Rock On Jimmie Lee!

I NEW JIMMIE VERY WELL IN SCHOOL....HE WAS A GREAT AND FUNNY GUY TO BE AROUND, WE BOTH SEEM TO BOOST EACH OTHER UP WHEN ONE OF US WAS DOWN . HE TALKED ABOUT GETTING A THREE WHEEL HARLEY THE LAST TIME I SAW HIM. MY SISTER SENT ME THE PAPER CLIPPING WHEN I WAS IN NAM TO LET ME KNOW WHAT HAPPEN. HE WAS ONE OF AKIND, THATS WHAT I LIKED ABOUT HIM.

Twenty years after we graduated, I found myself teaching at Glendale High and discovered I had Jimmie Lee's niece in one of my classes. We had great fun talking about my memories of him, especially him leading what might have been Glendale's only sit in protest. Remember that? It was on the front grassy area. Rock on!
